civil ceremonies

Who do we pay the registrar fees to?

You pay The Crow’s Nest a hire fee for the ceremony room but all other fees will be paid directly to the registry office. 

How do I contact the registrar to book my civil ceremony?

Please call 0300 111 8001 or online

How many people can the civil ceremony room seat?

We would recommend no more than 80 guests seated.

Am I allowed candles down the aisle?

Unfortunately, we would not recommend real candles down the aisle due to fire hazards. 

Wedding Breakfast

What is the maximum number of guests you can seat at a table for a wedding breakfast?

Our top table can seat a maximum of 10 guests. The round tables can comfortably seat 8 guests per table. 

What size are the tables for the wedding breakfast?

The round tables are 5ft in diameter. A top table seating 8 guests will approximately be 15ft long, a top table seating 10 guests would be 20ft long.

Do you allow candles on the tables?

Yes we do allow candles, as long as they are either in holders or securely fastened into an arrangement.

Outside on the grounds

Do you allow us to throw confetti?

We are more than happy for you to throw dried flower petals only as confetti. Unfortunately, we cannot allow metallic confetti or even biodegradable confetti to be thrown on the marina grounds due to the wildlife.

Am I allowed to use part on the grounds for outdoor entertainments for my guests?

Yes, absolutely, we have have excellent suppliers that would be able to offer entertainment i.e. bouncy castles, coconut shy’s etc. at an additional cost. We would also charge a fee for the use of the grounds.
