New Year New Look for Barton Marina’s waterfront restaurant

Staffordshire’s best-loved waterfront pub will unveil its new look next week when it reopens its restaurant following a New Year makeover.

Work started on January 9 to transform The Waterfront and diners will get their first glimpse of the new lay-out on Monday (6 February).

The revamp has included brand new flooring, a new bar, new kitchen, new furniture and new décor so that all the different areas of the establishment complement each other.

Alongside the new refit, The Waterfront is launching a brand new menu inspired by its head chef, Pete Godwin.

Pete, who was a former sous chef at the Michelin Recommended, 3 Rosette Paris House Restaurant in Woburn, Bedford, has 13 years of kitchen experience in addition to formal training in classical French cuisine and pastry.

Meanwhile, The Crow’s Nest will return to being able to host weddings, private functions and business events again, including a Wedding Showcase event on February 22 for prospective couples and their families.

The wedding extravaganza will provide guests with an opportunity of seeing the venue as it could possibly look on their wedding day as well as meeting a range of local wedding suppliers.

General Manager Megan Morrish said: “We’re so excited to be unveiling our exciting new look which enhances what is already one of Staffordshire’s best-loved waterside restaurants and entertainment venues.

“We’ve invested a lot of time and thought into making all areas of the pub as contemporary and stylish as possible to give our customers even more reason to visit us.

“Pete has also cooked up a delicious new menu in celebration of the new facelift to create a truly fresh experience for all our customers, old and new. We look forward to welcoming everybody into our newly improved home.”

During the refurb, the Waterfront Restaurant was temporarily transferred to The Crow’s Nest upstairs where the balcony overlooks Barton Marina to ensure customers didn’t miss out on their favourite dining experience.

The refit also included work on the outside terrace to ensure all areas benefitted from the update.
