Italian Night

The Waterfront hosted the first Italian Night on Wednesday 21st November.

 

Every culture around the world has its own authentic cuisine, delicacies, and everyday food. Italy is no exception. In fact, Italian food is one of the most famous types of cuisine found around the world, often with a local adjustment made.

Antonio created a 6 course tasting menu from Minestrone Soup to Cod Livornese with Risotto Pear & Gorgonzola, Crespelle alla Fiorentina to Torta della Nonna.

 

We are planning our next pop up Italian Night in 2019. Keep an eye out for more details in early 2019.

Summer Wedding Season

It has been a blockbuster of a Wedding Season for Bronwyn and The Crow’s Nest team. Here’s what some of the happy couples had to say about there big day!
We then finished off the busy summer with our Autumn Wedding Fayre on Sunday 21st October which had an amazing turn out.

I was married here on Saturday and just wow, Bronwyn and the team went to the ends of the earth to make sure everything ran smoothly, even when our room dresser didn’t carry out the work agreed Bronwyn went the extra mile to make sure that the room looked beautiful and didn’t even break a sweat! The venue is stunning the staff are wonderful and the food was gorgeous, everything exceeded our expectations and we had a truly wonderful day! They know what they are doing from start to finish and they saved our day! Amazing amazing amazing!

We got married here last weekend (13.10.18) and I can’t express how good it was.

We have had so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was, how good the food was and how smoothly everything ran. People have even gone as far as saying it’s the best wedding they have been to!

Bronwyn and her team did an amazing job from start to finish. She was always quick to give me answers on things, kept me updated through out, helped to resolve any little issues I had and was very very accommodating with both ours and our guests needs and requests. On the day the change over of the room was seamless and people couldn’t believe how quickly it was done.

If you are looking for a perfect venue for your perfect big day then look no further! Absolutely amazing!

New Summer Menu

Our new summer menu has gone live today, those of you that follow our Facebook and Instagram feeds will soon see some of the fabulous new dishes.

We have some exciting new salads on offer; any salad can also have chicken, halloumi or smoked salmon added.

Summer would not be the same without a quiche, this year we are offering a warm red pepper and goats cheese quiche with new potatoes & a rocket, tomato & red onion salad. Delicious in this lovely warm weather!

Our menu also has a great offering of fresh fish from the market including mussels, plaice fillets, cod supreme, seabass fillets and of course our popular fish and chips (also available in a large plate for the hungrier guests)

Annual Sporting Dinner with Wayne Barnes – English Referee

We were very privileged to have the Barton under Needwood R.U.F.C hold their annual sporting dinner at The Crow’s Nest.

The evening included a 3 course sit down meal followed by speeches & a raffle draw as well as guest speaker Wayne Barnes – English referee.

Thank you to all those who attended and to Steve Dixon for arranging it.

Make sure you don’t miss Barton Marina’s last monthly Market of 2017 – a special Christmas event on Sunday, 26th November.

All the regular stall holders will be on parade from10am to 4pm offering a treasure trove of seasonal handmade gifts, clothes, jewellery and food produce to help you to find that difficult gift.

Pop in to the Waterfront for a comforting glass of mulled wine. Breakfast is served from 10am to noon, followed by a full menu until 8pm, including pizzas and roasts.

And all the other shops and restaurants along the promenade are open – a great place to spend a few hours.
